Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than twenty years. The current president is and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California and grew up as an heir to a prestigious family. The father of her Jerry Buss was a real-estate businessman who became proprietor of the Lakers and other sports businesses. Her feelings of abandonment were heightened after her parents split in the year 1972. When she was 19 years old she inherited the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. In the following years, she created the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She first served as vice president of Lakers before she assumed the position of president of Great Western Forum. Buss her father passed away in 2013, and the Lakers were passed down by her as well as five of her siblings through an inheritance trust. Each sibling had equally many votes. The Lakers named her president. Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-founder of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion headquartered in Los Angeles.
